We exist to connect the curious and the creative across generations and artistic mediums and bring the transformative power of art into everyday life.

For more than three decades, The Old School House Arts Centre has been an artistic hub for Central Vancouver Island; a vibrant gathering place for the community of Qualicum Beach, and a destination for visitors and wanderers who are drawn into this space. Our community has brought this house to life with their passion, wit, talent and curiosity, and our story is still unfolding.

Art is for everyone, and everyone belongs.

We believe that the broader our reach, the more vibrant our community will be, and we actively welcome all art-curious people in our region and beyond. By providing robust, high-caliber programs and services, increasing support to underrepresented creatives, increasing accessibility, and building digital connectivity, we are honouring the past, while paving a path towards the future.

Art elevates life.

Art is essential to a vibrant community, and it takes resources to sustain the vision we’re committed to. As a registered non-profit charity, we rely on the generosity of our donors; people who understand the value of art, and its capacity for good. The artists, teachers, students, musicians, and volunteers who belong to this house bring limitless potential to our region, and your support ensures that art has a permanent place here in Qualicum Beach.
